Hayward, Wisconsin is a Northwoods town famous for amazing fishing, miles of ATV trails, and for hosting two of the world’s top racing events – the American Birkebeiner cross-country ski race and the Chequamegon Fat Tire bicycle race. The area has been a popular vacation spot for decades due to its many lakes and beautiful landscapes. It’s also home to the world’s largest musky, a giant fiberglass fish statue outside the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame.
There are numerous activities to enjoy during the summer including the largest pow wow in North America put on by the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Ojibwe Native Americans.
