Trail Map

The Madeline Lake trail system is a popular network of four short loops located just a 5 minute drive from the towns of Minocqua and Woodruff. The location provides easy access to visitors in the area while keeping the remote Northwoods feel.

The trail system is comprised of four loops with beginner to intermediate difficulties. The complete system is about 10 miles in length. A fire ring and warming shelter is provided at the far end of the network where the four loops come together. The four loops include the red loop (5.13mi), blue loop (3.83 mi), green loop (3.58 mi) and yellow loop (3.21 mi).

The Madeline Lake trail system is groomed with a single track for classic skiing in the winter months. The rest of the year provides excellent hiking and mountain biking opportunities. Please be aware that a $5 day use fee or a $25 annual state park fee is required for both skiers and cyclists. Pets are welcome in the Spring, Summer and Fall months as long as they are kept on a leash. There are no restroom facilities on site so please plan accordingly.
