Location: Boulder Junction Winter Park, 5409 Old K Road, Boulder Junction, WI 54512 There have been some complaints regarding GPS issues. The Winter Park is located just outside the town of Boulder Junction. We have used a location right next to the drive to hopefully alleviate any GPS issues.

  • From Madison, WI: Take US-51 N and WI-47 N; the drive takes about 4 hours.
  • From Minneapolis, MN: Take I-35 S and US-51 N; it’s a 4.5-hour journey.
  • From Marquette, MI: A scenic 2.5-hour drive via US-2 W and WI-47 S.

What to Bring

  • Ice Skates: Bring your own, or rent skates nearby.
  • Warm Clothing: Layers are key! Don’t forget gloves, hats, and scarves.
  • Snacks and Drinks: Pack some energy-boosting snacks or enjoy refreshments at the park.
  • Camera or Smartphone: Capture the stunning winter landscapes and your skating memories.

  • Entry Fee: The Glide is free to use, but donations for park maintenance are appreciated.
