Lake of the Falls County Park in Mercer, Wisconsin is a must stop if you are visiting the area. There are three separate campgrounds located along the banks of the Turtle River in between Lake of the Falls and the Turtle-Flambeau flowage. This is a beautiful spot to stop and relax for just a few hours or spend multiple days enjoying the campsites available through the Iron County Forest and Parks Service.

Lake of the Falls County Park is located alongside a 10 foot waterfall that drops into the Turtle River. The park offers a scenic overlook, picnic area and a total of 32 rustic camping facilities, as well as a boat landing with access to the Turtle-Flambeau Flowage via the Turtle River. The picnic area has a pavilion that can be rented for families or groups looking to spend the day at the park.

One of the campgrounds is located right next to the county park itself. The other two campgrounds are located off Popko Circle W. Side 1 has electrical campsites, pavilion, pit toilets, water and a boat ramp (address 4720W County Park Rd, Mercer, WI).  Quiet Side 2 has lakeside campsites, no electricity, pit toilet and water (address 4815N Popko Circle West, Mercer, WI). Popular Side 3 has electrical campsites, flush toilets and showers, pit toilets, dump station and potable water fill (address 4775N Popko Circle West, Mercer, WI). The campground is open from approximately May 1 through October 15.  The boat ramp is accessible year round.  The next time you are visiting Mercer, Wisconsin we highly recommend making a stop at Lake of the Falls County Park. You will be glad you did.
