Firefly Lake Campground is a centrally-located campground that offers easy access to many of the Northwoods communities nearby while also retaining that quiet Northern Wisconsin feel. The campground is located in between Sayner and Boulder Junction, Wisconsin.
Firefly Lake is a 27-acre, crystal clear lake open for non-motorized traffic. The campground offers a nice beach area for families to enjoy. The campground is also only 1/2 mile from the popular Crystal Lake beach and picnic area.
Firefly Lake Campground offers 71 campsites, 10 of which are available to reserve as double sites and accommodate up to 12 people. The campground has two ADA compliant sites, one of which also has electricity. This is the only electric site in the campground, however generators are allowed to run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A State Parks and Forest Admission Sticker is required for camping. There are 5 hand pumps available for drinking water. There are also 5 pit toilets located throughout the campground as well as one building with flush toilets and ADA compliant showers.
There are some excellent hiking and biking opportunities nearby to explore. Some of these trails include: the Heart of Vilas County Paved Bike Trail, Razorback Ridges, the Escanaba Trail & the Fallison Lake Trail.
Firefly Lake Campground is a reservation only campground, so make sure you hop onto their website and see what is available. Reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance of your stay. This is a popular campground and reservations go quickly, so don't hesitate to book your stay and enjoy this campground in the heart of the Northwoods.
